Another pretty little miss, her big sister and family came by for a newborn session. I think in November I had basically all girls! For this session we stuck to pretty ivory and neutral shades. Mia’s older sister was so sweet to her. She hugged and kissed her so gently. Also check out sister’s lashes! so gorgeous, just like her mama’s in the photo below. I bet Mia will have those pretty lashes as well.

Mikayla was pretty much awake for most of her shoot but we managed to get some prop shots of here asleep like in this adorable ivory bear set up.

Best Brooklyn NYC Newborn Photographer

I loved Demetri’s newborn session so so much! I met his parents a few months before at their maternity session. To begin, Demetri had the most gorgeous head of dark hair ever. He slept the entire time, and we got done with everything in under 3 hours. It was just perfect. Ohhhh…and the smiles! He smiled so much and we got the most adorable shots. His prop shots were just as amazing. The one with the metal bucket is one of my all time favorites! If he was mine, I would have his entire gallery up on my walls…speaking of walls, I will have to include one from his session on my studio walls for new products coming 2016!

Baby First Birthday Shoot NYC | Lia

Baby First Birthday Shoot NYC

Yay for another awesome Baby First Birthday Shoot here in NYC! I am loving all these cake smash sessions recently. I particularly love their simplicity and all the facial expressions captured during these sessions. I have started to send parents proof galleries for these sessions so they can pick their favorites for me to edit, and 9 out of 10, they always end up picking more than what their collection includes. It is so hard to choose when there are so many adorable images to choose from!

Lia’s mama had warned me that Lia wasn’t too fond of water, so the bubble bath portion might not work… we gave it a try and sure enough, Lia wasn’t having it. Like always, if something is not going according to plan, I always try to modify it or find a solution and still manage to get adorable shots. In this case, we did the bubble bath sans the water. We included a few of Lia’s favorite toys that she brought with her to the shoot and it came out just as adorable!

Newborn Baby Photos NYC | Anabelle

Newborn Baby Photos NYC

I have had so many baby girls recently and Anabelle did not disappoint. I even told her parents that she won the baby award for that month. She slept so so good and let me do so much. Love the soft pastels colors we chose and how cute and cuddled she looked in the “potato sack pose”.

This is one of my favorite dad and baby poses. You can get a sense of just how small the baby is in their daddy’s hands.

Anabelle looked so sweet in pink. I love using monochromatic set ups!

Best newborn photographer NYC | Genevive

Best newborn photographer NYC

Genevive was such as sweet and perfect newborn baby girl. I loved that her mom brought in this special blanket that her great grandma started knitting and her grandmother finished. I was also excited because I had the perfect headband to go along with that set up. Her mama also requested yellows and grays since those were the colors of her nursery.

This one below, is one of my favorites from her session. I love the tones of the dark wood with the yellow and the texture of the fluffy yellow nest and the burlap layer under the bowl. She looks so peaceful all curled up wrapped up in the soft yellow fabric.

Let’s talk about these detail shots! Aren’t these the perfect little toes and fingers? It always amazes me how babies come to this worl all perfectly made with the smallest of tiny details like their fingernails…
