Best Newborn Photographer NYC.

As an artist and photographer, it is always so fulfilling to get a perfect subject to photograph. As soon as I saw Layla, and saw her adorable cheeks, perfectly plump little lips and amazing head full of dark hair, I knew I hit the baby jackpot. Her parents were just as amazing. Trusting me completely to let me “do my thing” after I gave them a run through of what I had prepared for their session. Dad took a quick look, and said “looks like you got this under control, I’ll go watch some TV!”. Both mom and dad were able to relax, find a new series to watch on Netflix, and eat take out lunch, while I worked with Layla.

Layla literally slept for her entire session. I believe that having parents that are relaxed and stress free during their session, helps tremendously with the mood the baby picks up as well. Layla did amazing and we did so many different set ups. I loved being able to give her parents such a gorgeous gallery filled with amazing images they will cherish forever. I seriously want to print every one of her images in huge canvases and hang them all over the studio! Dont you think so??? Please check them out below, I seriously cannot pick a favorite one!

Queens Newborn Photographer | Nisa

Queens Newborn Photographer

Little Miss Nisa…this peanut did not want to be on her belly and loved being wrapped up. One of the benefits of coming to my studio is that I am able to adapt perfectly to the baby’s needs. Since Nisa didn’t want to be posed, I went straight for prop shots…. and in all honesty, those are my favorite type shots anyways! I have all my props available at an arms reach and I am able to adapt the type of props we use depending on the baby’s personality (believe it or not they come with their set personalities already, even that tiny!). Some babies like being posed on their back, some on their bellies, some don’t like folding their arms under their chin, whatever it is they like I am able to figure out pretty quickly and go with it. This is not always the case when a photographer travels to you. They are only able to bring so much with them and therefore limits the variety of images you will receive in return.

First birthday Photo session Brooklyn NY | Lillian

First birthday Photo session Brooklyn NY.

I loved this first birthday photo session! Lillian was one of the first newborns I met after moving to NYC and I was so happy to see her back. Her mama chose pretty neutrals for her session and I could not have been happier! Lillian had such a fun time smashing, knocking over her cake and making a splash in her bubble bath. I also loved using the vintage pink stool I got on one of my road trips. Lillian was on the move fully walking already, but we still managed to get her sitting for a few shots sitting down on it. I also made the super cute quilt heart banner. I had those hearts for a while and finally found the perfect use for them!

Williamsburg Brooklyn NY Newborn Photographer

Olivia’s newborn session was so pretty! I love the soft shades of peach, pink and ivory we used. She was so adorable with her red hair, just like her mama’s! She was so curly and sleepy for most of her session, check her out all curled up the be bowl below… one of my favorite shots for sure. I also really love the shot of her in her daddy’s hands with that little smirk… I can tell she already has him wrapped around her little finger. As always, most of the headbands used are from Sew Whimsey, one of my go to shops for the adorable accessories I use on most baby girls.
